Following the decision to close all education institutions in Israel, millions of children are now at home for an unknown period of time.

This reality obliges us to aid these children and their parents by empowering teachers and giving them the ability of distance teaching. We are asking for your help during this time of emergency to give a "Digital Toolbox" to every teacher in Israel – today!

Your gift will allow Athena Fund, together with our strategic partners, to give teachers "digital toolbox", which include a laptop, 120 hours of training, maintenance, a printer, and more, and with that allow them to continue teaching even during these times of uncertainty.

To date, Athena Fund distributed "Digital Toolbox" to approximately 25,000 school and kindergarten teachers in 2,210 schools and kindergartens from 167 municipalities all across Israel. Over 500,000 students are already enjoying the increased level of learning.

Total value of the "Digital Toolbox" is $1,700 and it includes:

All donations will be used to provide the "Digital Toolbox" to school and kindergarten teachers for the advancement of students in the digital age.

Uri Ben-Ari, Founder of Athena Fund

Albert Einstein once said “In the midst of every crisis lies great opportunity.” I believe within the coronavirus crisis lies a great opportunity to recognize the potential of using technology for innovative and advanced learning.

The Ministry of Education now is trying to promote distance learning. This is an opportunity to look at the future to come, where teachers serve as mentors and learning takes place outside school walls using technology. It is important to note that the role of the teacher will not go away due to technology; as teachers become more adept at using technology, they will have a bigger impact and bring their students to greater achievements.

I thank you in advance for your willingness to help. Your donation will enable Athena Fund, together with our strategic partners, to provide teachers in Israel with a "digital toolbox" that includes a laptop or iPad, 120 hours of training, technical support, a printer and more.

This will enable teachers to continue teaching their students, using distance learning, even during the emergency now facing the State of Israel.

Let us hope that the current crisis will soon pass.
